Russia: Feed barley prices to surge

High demand for feed barley in conditions of limited supply for this grain from elevator as well as from farms causes rise in prices, informed experts of "APK-Inform" agency, April 19.

Such a situation is characteristic for practically all regions of Russian Federation, however, the most intensive price increasing is observed in Central-Chernozem region. Official prices don't exceed 4300-4400 RUR/tonne (CPT) but purchasing prices can reach 4600-4700 RUR/tonne while concluding contracts for purchase and sale.
